As an eight year old little girl at her family’s home in Liberty, North Carolina, Spring Renee handcrafted her first camera out of a Cheerios box. That same year she won the state 4-H photography contest for her work. During her childhood she treasured images she saw and would point them out to her father, who told her consistently that she had a great eye. Finally in 1993, she received her first camera, a Pentax K-1000. Teaching herself camera basics, she was thrilled to finally have the ability to capture treasured images and to share them with others.
Her images captured more than just family attention. As she grew and developed her talent as a photographic artist, Spring found herself using her art to create one of the first handmade photographic greeting cards of which she sold wholesale nationwide and overseas. Her work has been published nationally and locally in magazines and she has received national honors for several of her pieces.
Along with her love for fine art, Spring enjoys sharing her gifts and talents to capture fine art portraiture for the vibrant high school senior, treasured family portraits and pampered pets. She is one of most sought after senior portrait photographers of the Midwest and surrounding St. Louis counties.
Spring enjoys taking walks, city drives, and road trips that keep her creative juices flowing and offers several road trip classes to teach and share along the way. Her ability to find inspiration in the smallest insect, fallen leaf, graduating senior or the many forgotten homes and faces, leads to many of her themed works. Through her artistic images and touching words, Spring hopes they remind people to enjoy where they are along with their surroundings for beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
