Victor J. Webster
common lore: circulation, craft, & collective myth
August 7 - September 19, 2026
Opening Reception August 7, 5-8pm
Common Lore: Circulation, Craft, & Myth brings together artists from across the country for an exhibition centering on how imagery circulates within tattooing’s history - how designs are borrowed, repeated, and reinterpreted through making and storytelling until they take on a life of their own.
Artists featured are Bryan Kachel and Mason Montgomery of Seattle, Washington; Victor J. Webster of Monte Rio, California; Ellen St. Michael of Kansas City, Missouri, and Omar Mahmud of St. Louis, Missouri.
This exhibition is co-curated with Joshua Martin, a tattooer, fine artist, and curator based in Kansas City, Missouri, and coincides with the Foundry Art Centre’s third annual Tattoo Arts & Crafts Fair.
Events & exhibitions at the Foundry Art Centre are free and open to the public. For more information, please email Jessica Mannisi, Director of Exhibitions, at jmannisi@foundryartcentre.org
