Central Park Runners: The Four Seasons
Ido Michaeli
August 7 - September 19, 2026
Opening Reception August 7, 5-8pm
New York-based interdisciplinary artist Ido Michaeli’s Central Park Runners: The Four Seasons explores ideas of connection across cultures, challenging familiar divisions such as East and West. Through the creation of handwoven carpet runners made in Afghanistan, these four works depict New York City’s Central Park through the visual language of Afghan weaving traditions. The project connects Central Park to the early gardens of Mesopotamia, inviting viewers to examine history through a broader lens. The Four Seasons serves as a reminder that culture is never static; it is forever changing, shaped, and enriched through the connections we make with one another.
