David Johnson: It Can Be This Way Always

It Can Be This Way Always documents David Johnson’s ongoing, 13-year photo series of the Kerrville Folk Festival in Central Texas – an annual 18-day event that has been in existence since 1972. Johnson’s large-format photographs capture a distinctive subculture that emerges within an isolated 5-acre ranch through portraits of the festival-goers and the Texas Hill Country.
