Four Women for Three Seasons is a three-part mural by St. Louis artist Edo Rosenblith. This site-specific painting is a major focal point in the space throughout the year.
Asked to create a mural for the Foundry’s Grand Hall, Edo drew inspiration from the seasons and a wide variety of art historical and popular culture references – everything from Baroque paintings to Japanese woodblock prints, the hair in The Bride of Frankenstein to a scene in Woody Allen’s Stardust Memories, Vess Cola, and punk rock fashion.
The Grand Hall Mural Project is a new exhibition program for the Foundry Art Centre featuring original, commissioned work by professional artists. A new triptych will be commissioned each year to engage and inspire the community and support regional artists.
