Take handmade paper from fiber to the 3-dimensional! During this workshop, artist Shannon Brock will lead participants in forming a small sculptural bowl or rock using the paper from recycled linen fabric pulp. Using an overlapping technique, students will apply torn pieces of newly formed paper to an armature. Directions will be given for separating the form from the armature later, once the drying stage is complete. Basic pulp preparation, sheet forming, and armature building will be reviewed. Sign-up with a friend or come make some new friends. Either way, you'll have fun creating a beautiful paper sculpture! This class is open to all skill levels (ages 18+). If you need accommodations for this program, please contact the Foundry as soon as you are able.
