Chinese Painting is a fun, relaxing, and interesting painting process. This workshop will cover the basic traditional Chinese brush techniques and materials.

Students will be introduced to the special implements used in this technique, brushes, rice paper and colored ink. The artist students will learn the traditional brush techniques of four-gentleman (plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum). Participants will be instructed on how to hold the brush properly and use various brush strokes. Through the study of traditional Chinese ink and rice paper, students will become familiar with the amazing potential of this special medium.

This workshop is open to all skill levels. Material list available upon request.
