Destiny Mata’s The Way We Were showcases the underground punk scene of the outer boroughs of New York, specifically Punx of Color, whose shows are held to help financially support the fight for civil justice. In an ever-changing world, these photographs recall a not-so-distant past when the underground punk scene was alive and well and living in color.
