Dive into the semi-autobiographic science fiction-infused anti-war novel by American author Kurt Vonnegut, known for his satirical and darkly humorous writings. This exhibition features a series of commissioned illustrations Igor Karash completed for the limited edition of Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five, published by Easton Press, 2025.

About the Artist
Igor Karash was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Art & Design in Ukraine. He emigrated to the United States in 1993, and has lived in Saint Louis, Missouri, for more than 20 years. He is part of the creative team at Kiku Obata & Company, and teaches illustration at Webster University, Department of Art, Design, and Art History.
Karash is an award-winning illustrator whose work has been published by the Folio Society in London, Rybka Publishers in Prague, IDW Publishing, Top Shelf Productions, Easton Press, and Centipede Press, among others. His work is featured in TASCHEN’s The Illustrator: 100 Best Illustrators from Around the Globe, curated by Steven Heller and Julius Wiedmann.
Karash’s series of illustrations and book design for the Easton Press limited edition of Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five received a Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators in New York, and a Gold Award in the Book Category from 3x3 International Magazine of Contemporary Illustration. The series is also included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Avantgarde in Switzerland.
