Meet new friends and cultivate quality time with a loved one through our special events on Saturdays like Nom-Nom Namaste, Family Workshops, and Kids Classes.
Family Workshops are a wonderful way for children – alongside their favorite grown-up – to explore artistic mediums, develop meaningful bonds, and create memories that last a lifetime. Registration includes one adult with one child; each child registered must be accompanied by an adult. Additional adults are welcome for half the cost of registration. Sign-up today to help a kid discover their inner artist!

KIDS CLASSES
PAINTING IN THE PARK – Family Workshop
Experience Plein-Air planting in Frontier Park with your favorite little one. Learn about mixing colors and simple brush techniques while you take in the fresh air of Frontier Air. It’s the perfect setting to inspire your landscape painting and inner artist to express themselves!
Price includes all materials for you and your favorite little one to create a painting together!

CANDY BOWL
Create a spooktacular candy bowl for Halloween! Hand build with clay to create a ghost, goblin, or spider to place in the bottom of your candy bowl. Learn to sculpt, paint, and play with clay in new and unique ways.
Price includes one custom-made, hand-painted bowl full of candy that each adult and child creates together!

HOLIDAY CLAY ORNAMENTS
Spend quality time with your loved one as you create holiday ornaments! Enjoy a cup of hot cocoa and learn slab clay techniques to make one-of-a-kind creations to hang from your tree or add to your Holiday décor. You’ll be sure to create special gifts for loved ones as you let your creativity fly into the Holiday spirit!
Price includes one slab of clay for the parent and child to work together to make 4-7 ornaments depending on size!

WORKSHOPS
Foundry Art Centre’s workshops provide a fun, relaxed environment where anyone can try their hand at a new art activity! Taught by local professional artists, these one-of-a-kind classes encourage self-expression and inspire creativity in an intimate setting. Grab your sweetie, friend, family member, or come as you are for a fun night out! Ages 16+ are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. For workshops bring your own beverage and snacks. Finger foods are recommended. Limited spots are available, so register in advance to secure your creative seat!
NOM-NOM NAMASTE
Get your Zen on at the Foundry with an all-level gentle yoga class. Then, enjoy delicious donuts and sip on coffee or tea after yoga while you get a splash of culture exploring the Foundry’s new exhibitions in the Main Galleries. Come early and peruse the Farmer’s Market in the Foundry parking lot. Stay late and enjoy our exhibitions. Join us for a chill Saturday morning at the Foundry!
Price includes hour-long yoga class, two donuts, and unlimited coffee and tea.

PET PORTRAIT
Paint your favorite furry friend while you enjoy a drink in this fun all levels pet portrait class! Anyone can do this class, regardless of art experience. Our professional artist will walk you through mixing colors and brush strokes to make your pet come to life!
Grab a friend, family member, or come as you are and make new friends. Feel free to paint your dog, cat, hedgehog, or lizard! We’ll print your favorite photo on canvas to make it easy to create your masterpiece on a 16x20 canvas. By the end of the night, you’ll surprise yourself with your newfound artistic skills and have a beautiful tribute to your favorite pet! Register by Oct. 1 to secure your creative seat. SHIBORI YOUR STATE
Explore Japan’s oldest indigo dye technique of Shibori. Twist and dye fabric blue as you enjoy a drink with Foundry Art Centre’s resident artist Lydia Crespo. BYO snacks.
