Luba Briginets

Luba Briginets’ current work brings together meticulous handwork, contemporary design, and a love of color and texture. Through embroidery, she creates unique works that explore the relationship of traditions, materials, and techniques reimagined through a contemporary perspective.

Each work is a journey of texture, color, and detail, with threads becoming lines, colors becoming emotion, and layers of fabric become stories. Together, these works invite the viewer to pause and discover the stories that can be told without words.

About the Artist

Luba Briginets is a visual artist and educator originally from Russia. She holds a Master’s degree in Art Education and has dedicated more than 20 years to teaching art and art history at the high school level. As both an artist and teacher, she is passionate about creativity, artistic exploration, and the importance of art as a way to connect ideas, traditions, and personal expression.

Luba’s creative work spans sculpture, fiber arts, embroidery, and painting. Her artistic practice reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, material, texture, and the expressive possibilities of traditional techniques. Throughout her career, Luba has participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions, receiving recognition and awards.

The East Gallery is dedicated to emerging and experimental artists.
